Tourism and travel

BSI British Standards has published the ground-breaking BS 8848:2007, which pulls together expertise and good practice into a new national standard for the safe management of visits, fieldwork, expeditions and adventurous activities abroad.

It is essential for trip organizers to apply the principles of good management to ensure risks are reduced whilst travelling overseas. Activities undertaken without the appropriate experience or background could be high-risk and dangerous, possibly resulting in injury or worse.
