BSI is synonymous with quality
BSI pioneered the development of the original quality management system BS 5750, which was developed and adopted by the International Standards Organization into ISO 9000. Today, more than three quarters of a million companies are registered to ISO 9000.
The ISO 9000 series
ISO 9000 sets out how to implement an integrated quality management system fitting into the normal workings of the business. Avoiding the application of systems separate from your business processes, it creates a more ‘process-based’ logical and effective approach to managing an organization.
Revised on 15 December 2003, ISO 9000 cuts down on red tape, provides tighter focus on customer satisfaction and allows greater flexibility. This enables companies to deploy a quality management system in the way that gives them the best results.
What BSI offers
Quality management is a continuous process that evolves over time and with experience. BSI offers you that experience through the ISO 9000 series of standards, plus books and publications, which will enable your organization to embrace total quality management.
This area of the website also looks at how quality is encompassed and impacts on other areas of businesses including design management, project management, complaints management, and the emerging area of information and knowledge management.
