Metal tests

If you manufacture, use or test metals, you’ll appreciate the importance of ensuring that your materials meet the current industry standards. BSI publishes important standards for Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers metal tests.

For each test, all parts of the standard should be used. The standards provide guidance on:

  • test method
  • verification and calibration of testing machines
  • calibration of reference blocks
  • tables of hardness values.
