Raw text to be used as a starting point for the PAS.
Final draft
Draft formed by adapting the first draft in line with the conclusions drawn from the comments from the review panel and the Steering Group to be approved for publication.
First draft
Amalgamation of project edited base documents with new text (as deemed necessary from gap analysis) to produce a coherent document aligned with its scope for the purposes of primary comment.
Gap analysis
Analysis of the difference between the base documents and the required final PAS (as defined by its scope) allowing identification of areas where new text is needed.
Project editing
Detailed criticism, restructuring and rewriting to ensure text is aligned with the scope and conforms fully to BS 0-3:1997.
Project Team
Group involved in the day-to-day development of the PAS, including BSI project leader, sponsor contact and author(s).
Review Panel
Group of appropriate stakeholders, as decided by the Steering Group, invited to comment on a draft in writing.
Steering Group
Stakeholders responsible for draft development, draft approval and comments resolution, including representatives of BSI, the sponsor, the author(s) and relevant experts.
Technical Author
Individual with a thorough knowledge of the industry who is responsible for writing the base document.
