There are over 27,000 current British standards and 1,700 new or revised British, European or international standards are produced by BSI British Standards each year.
Projects in progress
Projectline is a free service that enables anyone to find out about the work being done in the development of standards, whether you are:
- an industry expert interested in inputting to the content of a standard
- a consumer association with interest in the development of new standards
- a committee member interested in the work of other industries.
Projectline contains information on all national, European and international projects in which BSI is currently participating. For each of these there are details on current progress, who is responsible and relevant publications. Each standard that is in the process of development or updating is listed as a project with a dedicated project number.

Drafts for Public Comments (DPCs)
BSI British Standards Draft Review system
BSI is pleased to announce the launch of its online Draft Review system for national Drafts for Public Comment (DPCs). A selected number of drafts for national standards (BS only) will be available via our new, easy to use website. You will be able to read the full draft and leave comments and suggestions about its content which we may use in the final British Standard.
