ATEX compliance with total peace of mind
Mandatory since 1st July 2003, the ATEX Directive (94/9/EC) applies to equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres. Not only do manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment need to comply, manufacturers of non-electrical equipment and equipment used in dust explosive atmospheres must comply too.
In addition, the ATEX user Directive (99/92/EC) applies to all operators and employers whose processes use, or produce potentially explosive atmospheres. Mandatory from 1st July 2006, any organization whose processes fall into these categories must ensure that they are compliant.
