BSI Product Services has a wealth of experience in the certification and testing of glass-related products for the construction industry. We offer the widely recognised Kitemark® for products such as safety glass, insulating glass units and vehicle glass. The Kitemark® scheme for insulating glass units is specified by the likes of National House Building Council and the Kitemark® is recognised as the best way to identifying safety glass used in buildings.
We also offer a full range of services in support of CE marking.
The BSI testing facility for insulating glass is the largest and most modern in Europe. It has been established to provide the glazing industry with sufficient testing capacity to allow manufacturers the opportunity to complete the required initial type testing in support of CE marking.
With the publication of new European test methods, BSI Product Services continues to invest in new test equipment such as our impact test rig for safety glass.
We also act as the Vehicle Certification Agency's Technical Agent and offer a full test and certification service for glass used in vehicles.
