Given the scope of PAS 80, we believe our fees represent value for money for any garage committed to raising its own standards and those of the industry as a whole. Our pricing structure is intended to make the scheme as inclusive as possible.
First-year costs
The costs for achieving the Kitemark® are higher in the first year than for subsequent years. This is because the Pre-Licence fee is only payable in the first year.
- PAS80 Document - £32 each (inclusive of postage and packing)
- Pre-licence Fee - £745*
- Kitemark® Licence Fee - £745
Where required:
- Pre-Audit Gap Analysis - £400*
*Includes all expenses (travel, subsistence, hotels etc.)
Remember, these charges include all of the costs for the ongoing assessment programme we manage throughout the year.
Costs for subsequent years
Only the Kitemark® Licence Fee of £1500 is payable for second and subsequent years, again this includes all of the costs for the on-going assessment programme we manage throughout the year.
Additional costs
Where our assessment and on-going assessment programme highlights consistent failure to conform to the standards of PAS 80, we may decide that additional site visits or mystery shopping activity is required.
In the event that we are forced to perform additional activity, we will pass any associated costs on to you as the Kitemark® licensee.
These charges are as follows:
- BSI Inspection - Full Day - £500*
- BSI Inspection - Half day - £300*
- Mystery Shopping - £300*
- Mystery Vehicle Shopping - £1000**

**Mystery Vehicle Shopping - additional mystery vehicle shopping costs vary according to different vehicle types and the circumstances that have prompted the need for the activity. We are therefore unable to specify the charges in advance.
All fees are subject to VAT for UK companies. Companies based outside of mainland UK may incur additional travel expenses.
By signing the licence application form you agree to the Kitemark® Licence Conditions of Contract. Your agreement to pay these additional costs is specified within the Kitemark® Licence Conditions of Contract.
