UK response to the draft international standard, ISO/IEC DIS 29500 OOXML (ECMA 376)

The UK has submitted its decision on the adoption of ISO/IEC DIS 29500 OOXML to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).  The final outcome of the vote, open to all national standards bodies which voted in the original ballot in September 2007, will be confirmed by ISO and IEC, the International Electrotechnical Commission.  Please visit the ISO website for further information on the outcome of the international ballot.

IST/41, the BSI technical committee which mirrors ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 34, reached a consensus decision on behalf of the UK following its full technical evaluation of the draft international standard, ISO/IEC DIS 29500 OOXML (ECMA 376).
