Sir David John KCMG, Executive Chairman

Elected Chairman in July 2002 after joining the BSI Board in May 2002 as a Non-executive Director. He is currently Chairman of Premier Oil plc and past Chairman of BOC group and Balfour Beatty plc.

Richard Catt,
Director of Legal Affairs and Company Secretary

Richard joined BSI as Director of Legal Affairs and Company Secretary in May 2005. He was previously Legal Director of Simon Group plc and General Counsel of Securiguard Group plc.

Martin Hannah FCCA, Group Finance Director

A Chartered Certified Accountant with a degree from King’s College London and joining BSI in 2007, Martin has extensive experience in both the manufacturing and service sectors, and has held senior management positions with Powergen, EXAB and El Paso.

Mike Low, Director, BSI British Standards

Before joining BSI in 2003, Mike was Director of Group Strategy & Performance at Amey plc; Director of Health Safety & Environment and Technical & Business Development Director for Nuclear Electric; and MD of British Energy's UK Generation, where he was also a Main Board Director.

Flemming Norklit
Managing Director, BSI Management Systems

Flemming joined BSI in 2003 after a career with Xerox which included operational responsibility for Germany, then Northern Europe and finally Senior Vice Presidency. Flemming studied electrical engineering in Denmark and business administration at Stanford University in the US. 

Alastair Trivett,
Managing Director, Global, BSI Product Services

Alastair joined BSI in 2005 from GE Healthcare where he held a number of senior international general management and commercial roles. Prior to this he was MD of Marquette Electronics UK & Ireland and is a qualified Electronic Engineer with 25 years experience of the healthcare industry.

David I. Brown,
Group Corporate Development Director

Responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, David has held senior appointments in both the US and the UK, with specific responsibility for strategy and M&A in KPMG, Arthur D Little, Morgan Crucible, TRW/Lucas Varity and Rolls Royce.

Frank Post, Group Communications Director

Before joining BSI in 1999, Frank worked widely in the UK and Europe, including for Chubb, Racal and Williams Holdings. Subsequently, he has worked at both Corporate and Operational level within BSI Group – including in BSI Management Systems, BSI Product Services and BSI British Standards.

John Titmuss, Group Human Resources Director

John joined BSI in 2005 having been Senior VP HR & Customer Fulfilment for Indalex Aluminum Solutions, a subsidiary of Honeywell International.  He also held senior international HR & Operational roles in both the UK and USA with Novar plc, SC Johnson, Parker Hannifin Corporation and Rolls Royce.

Rob Wallis, Managing Director,
BSI Management Systems UK

With a career of more than 25 years in IT services, outsourcing and management consultancy, Rob joined BSI in 2008 having held managing director and senior management positions at LogicaCMG, EDS and Hedra. He has extensive commercial experience working with clients in the transport, supply chain, manufacturing and retail sectors.

Gary Pearsons, President,
BSI Management Systems Americas, Inc.

Gary Pearsons joined BSI  in June 2003 from ABB Inc. where he was President, ABB Automated Services.  Prior to this he held a variety of senior international roles with Digital Equipment Corporation.

Alwi Hafiz, Managing Director,
BSI Management Systems Asia

Alwi joined BSI in 2007 after 18 years at Hewlett-Packard mostly in consulting and professional services organizations.  Previously he worked for Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Management Consultants, after achieving a First in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Mitsumasa Tokunaga, Managing Director,
BSI Management Systems, Japan  

Mitchy joined BSI in 2006 after 22 years in the electrical and IT sectors, including at Citizen, Dell and latterly at Nokia where he focused on sales and marketing. Most recently he held a General Manager position and played a critical role in Nokia’s resurgence in Japan’s telecoms market.
