Allan Marshall - Technical Director Compliance and Risk
Previous Director/Owner of Benchmark Certification, Allan joined BSI is 2006. He has spent some 39 years in quality control/quality assurance/quality management roles, of those over 15 years have been in within the certification business. Allan was actively involved in the manufacturing industry in the UK before arriving in Australia in 1971, following which he spent time with Head Wrightson, Commonwealth Engineering and the Queensland Electricity Generating industry before opening a quality management consultancy in 1986.
He holds a BSc (Metallurgy) and MSc (Welding technology). Allan is both a Director and Board Member of BSI Management Systems Australia & New Zealand pty ltd.
Richard Taylor – Head of Sales and Marketing
Richard joined the BSI Group UK in 2003, and in 2007 located to Australia to head up the Sales and Marketing team.
Richard has over 15 years experience in sales, marketing and product management within the professional and business services sectors. Previously he has held positions as Head of Market Development for the ICT sector at BSI British Standards and various senior marketing and business development positions with ViaCode Ltd and Royal Mail Group in the UK.
He holds a BSc in Economics and Sociology and Postgraduate Diplomas in Marketing and Market Research
Darren Macpherson - Training Manager
Darren joined BSI Australia in 2008. Previously Darren was a Training Franchise Owner, having worked within the Training industry for more than 23 years, after which he managed a medical equipment importation business in ANZ.
He holds a B.Bus from Institute of Technology Sydney.
Lorraine Orr – General Manager Operations
Lorraine joined BSI Australia in 2007, contracting as a Senior Lead Auditor in Quality and Information Security Management, before taking on the role of General Manager – Operations ANZ in July 2007.
Lorraine has over 20 years experience in Engineering, Business and Process Improvement in industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Government and Defense, Information Communications & Technology (ICT), and professional services. Previously, she has held positions as NSW State Manager and a national role as Information Security Program Manager at SAI Global. Prior to joining BSI, Lorraine has several years experience consulting as a Security, Risk & Business Continuity Practitioner with Securelink. For the last four years, Lorraine has been Company Director and Licensee for a small business in the Shoalhaven which holds Quality Accreditation through NCAC.
She holds a BEng in Engineering and an MSc in Project Management. She is also a qualified Lead Assessor.
Chris Brignell – Financial Controller
Chris joined BSI Australia in 2008. Chris has worked in finance for over 20 years in a variety of roles and industries including Publishing, Insurance, Gaming and Property. Originally from London he moved to Australia in 2004.
He is a member of the ACCA
